Calculator app is pre-installed in everyone's mobile or laptop. You can easily calculate percentage with this app. So let's know further how you can easily calculate percentage by applying a small formula of mathematics.  The method of calculating percentage is very easy in which you multiply the number obtained by 100 and divide it by the total number. This is a very critical skill to clear any exam and you make a mistake while doing it in the exam, for this you should practice a lot because questions of percentage are asked in any topic. It includes topics like CI, SI, profit-loss etc. Percentage is a figure that represents a number and its symbol is %. Percentage Kaise Nikale ? Method of calculating percentage

We will always teach you to calculate percentage by taking the result of the exam as an example.

Method 1 - To calculate percentage from number

In this condition we have the number and we have to calculate the percentage.

Percentage calculation formula: Scored Marks × 100 ÷ Total Marks

Multiply the obtained marks by 100 and divide the result obtained by the total marks.

For example, a student has got 420 marks out of 600 in the exam, and we have to find out the percentage of that student. So let's know.

The student has got a total of 420 marks out of 600.

Now if we multiply 420 by 100, the result will be 42000.

Then divide this result 42000 by the total marks of 600. The result will be 80.

It means if the student gets 420 marks out of 600, then he has got 70%.

Method 2- To find out the marks from percentage

In such a situation, you already know the percentage and total marks, but you have to find out the score marks.

Formula to calculate marks from percentage (Total Marks ÷ 100 × percentage)

Divide the total marks by 100 and multiply the result obtained by the percentage.

For example, if a child has scored 75% in the exam and the total marks of all the exams are 600, then let us know how many marks the child has obtained.

You have to divide 600 by 100, the result of which will be 6.

Then you have to multiply the 75% obtained by 6, the result of which will be 450.

This means that if the child scores 75% in a paper of 600 marks, then he has got 450 marks.

Similarly, if you already know your percentage and how many marks you have obtained. But you do not know how many marks the paper was of. So to find this, you need to calculate in a different way. For this, you have to use the formula given below.

(Scored Marks × 100 ÷ percentage)

Multiply the obtained marks by 100. Whatever result comes, divide it by the percentage obtained. Whatever result comes will be the total marks.

For example, let us assume that you have scored 450 marks in the exam and you also know that you have scored 75%. But you have to find out how many marks the paper was of. So let us know how to find this out.

You have to multiply 450 by 100. The result of which will be 45,000.

Now you already know the percentage is 75%. So you have to divide 45,000 by 75. Its result will be 600.

This means if you have secured 450 marks and 75% in your exam then your paper is of total 600 marks.
